on wednesday i met one of my favorite authors and greatest creative inspirations. his talk left me feeling (intellectually) hungry and confident about my future.
though i’m pursuing creativity in a more traditional, artistic sense, sir ken robinson believes in the creativity of all disciplines. his lecture touched on science, sociology, mathematics, history, technology … he believes creativity and finding our passion are the keys to a successful future for our world.
my favorite take away was this: researchers estimate between 60 and 110 billion humans have been born on this planet. and yet, we are each a unique moment in human history. there has never been anyone like us before. so what are we going to do with this life we’ve been given?
me? … i’m going to the circus.
